This is an original oil painting depicting a rural landscape scene with a central cabin surrounded by trees and a split-rail fence. The artwork is signed 'S. FAY' in the upper left corner, suggesting an American Primitive or folk art style. The painting is presented in a traditional gilt frame Measures 33.5” wide and 25.5” tall.
Condition
The painting exhibits significant paint loss and flaking, particularly in the lower portion and scattered throughout the landscape. The canvas shows signs of age, including craquelure across the surface. The gilt frame has minor wear consistent with its age.

* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and the buyer risks forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
