This substantial antique French Renaissance Revival sideboard buffet is crafted from oak, featuring a two-part construction with an ornate upper cabinet and a robust lower console. The piece is adorned with intricate carvings, including detailed escutcheons on the upper cabinet doors and geometric motifs on the lower cabinet doors. It provides ample storage with multiple drawers and cabinets, embodying the grandeur of its historical style. 96" tall. 55" wide. 22" deep. The sideboard exhibits significant signs of age and use consistent with its antique nature. There are numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of discoloration throughout the finish. The top surface shows wear and some fading. The interior of the upper cabinet features a decorative paper lining that is partially peeling and stained. One drawer pull is missing from the lower section, and there are visible chips and losses to the carved details and edges, particularly around the base and feet. The doors and drawers function, but some may show stiffness due to age. The overall structure remains sound, but the piece would benefit from restoration to address cosmetic imperfections and missing hardware.
