This antique 1920's wooden display cabinet features a rich, dark finish and elegant glass-fronted doors, ideal for showcasing collectibles or cherished items. The upper section is equipped with two glass shelves and a central locking door, flanked by two fixed glass panels with decorative wooden overlays. A single drawer below provides additional storage. The cabinet stands on cabriole legs, characteristic of period furniture, and is adorned with a carved shell motif at the crest. The brass-toned drawer pulls add a touch of classic sophistication to the piece.
The cabinet exhibits significant signs of age and wear consistent with its vintage. There are numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss throughout the wooden surfaces, particularly on the lower drawer and the top edges. The glass panels appear intact, though they show some smudges and dust. The interior shelves are present but show wear. The drawer pulls are tarnished and show verdigris. One of the cabriole legs has a noticeable chip or break at the foot. A red circular sticker is affixed to the right glass panel.
