An elegant blue and white porcelain ginger jar, featuring a domed lid with a finial. The jar is adorned with intricate hand-painted designs, including a prominent phoenix and various floral patterns, all rendered in classic underglaze blue. The decorative motifs are encircled by geometric borders and additional botanical elements, showcasing traditional Chinese artistry.

Condition

Request Condition Report
The ginger jar is in good condition with minor signs of age and use. There is some discoloration and light staining visible on the unglazed rim of the jar and the underside of the lid, consistent with age. The glazed surfaces are largely intact with minimal wear. Some residue is present around the lid's seating area. The base is marked "MADE IN CHINA".

* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost= Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.

 

* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.

 

* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
