This secretary desk features a Chippendale-style design, characterized by its elegant form and functional structure. The upper section includes a glass-front display cabinet with internal shelving, ideal for showcasing collectibles or books. Below, a drop-front desk surface opens to reveal a fitted interior with small drawers and compartments, while the base offers three bombe-style drawers with decorative brass pulls for ample storage.
The desk exhibits visible signs of age and use, including numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss on the top surface and throughout the body. The brass hardware shows tarnishing consistent with age. One leg appears to have a repair or restoration at the foot. The interior of the drawers shows minor wear and some discoloration.
