Tested and Working! With a beautiful chime. A late 19th-century French mantel clock in the Rococo Revival style. The piece features a patinated spelter sculpture of a putto seated atop the clock case, which is set into a naturalistic form. The clock rests on an ornate, gilt base with a red fabric top. The movement is housed in a brass ring stamped "7329", and a winding key is included.
Tested and Working! The white enamel dial has a visible hairline crack extending from the center towards the VII and VIII numerals. The patinated finish on the spelter shows age-appropriate wear and dust accumulation. The red fabric is faded and shows wear, particularly at the edges.
