Designed by George Hunzinger. This Victorian-era armchair features a distinctive spindle back design with decorative bobbin turnings along the crest rail and arms. The chair is upholstered in a rich green velvet fabric, providing a contrast to its dark-finished frame. It rests on castors, indicative of its period and design.
Condition
The armchair exhibits signs of age and use consistent with its Victorian provenance. The green velvet upholstery shows wear, minor discoloration, and some flattening of the pile, particularly on the seat and backrest. The frame has various surface scratches, nicks, and areas of finish loss. One of the castors appears to be missing or damaged, affecting mobility. There are no visible major structural breaks or repairs, though joints may have minor play.

* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost= Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive postage rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.
* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
