This George III style sideboard is crafted from mahogany with intricate inlay details. It features a serpentine front, multiple drawers, and a central concave section, indicative of late 18th-century English design. The piece includes brass hardware and stands on elegant tapered legs, reflecting classic Neoclassical aesthetics. A provenance card from Wakefield-Scearce Galleries, Importers, Historic Science Hill, Shelbyville, Kentucky, states it was "Imported from England." The sideboard exhibits significant signs of age and wear consistent with its vintage. There are numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss across the top surface, drawers, and legs. Cracks are visible on the side panels, and some veneer lifting is present. The interior of the drawers shows wear and discoloration, with one drawer containing a metal liner with compartments. The brass hardware is tarnished and shows age. One drawer is missing its lock mechanism and a key is absent.
