This distinguished Windsor-style armchair features a classic black finish with contrasting cherry-finished armrests. The chair proudly displays the seal of Georgetown University in gold on its crest rail, an emblem that reads "COLLEGIUM GEORGIOPOLITANUM" and "1789". The chair is constructed with turned spindles and legs, accented with subtle gold banding details on the spindles and legs, enhancing its traditional aesthetic. This piece is ideal for alumni, collectors of university memorabilia, or those seeking a classic, well-crafted desk or accent chair.
The chair exhibits visible signs of wear consistent with age and use. The black finish on the seat and crest rail shows numerous scratches and scuffs, particularly on the seat where surface abrasions are noticeable. The gold university seal remains largely intact with some minor wear. The cherry finish on the armrests appears in good condition with minimal scratching. The structural integrity of the chair appears sound, with no visible cracks or loose joints. Dust and minor surface grime are present, suggesting a need for cleaning.
