This brutalist abstract sculpture by Ines Maisannes (1935-2017) and features numerous vertical, curvilinear metal elements welded together to form a dynamic, three-dimensional composition. The piece is mounted on a circular base and signed "Lunas" by the artist. Its textured, patinated surface adds to its raw and impactful aesthetic, typical of the Brutalist movement. Condition
The sculpture exhibits a natural, aged patina consistent with its material and artistic style, showing signs of oxidation and surface discoloration. There are no visible breaks or structural damage to the metal elements. The base shows minor surface wear and some adhesive residue from a temporary label, which does not affect the artistic integrity of the piece.
Available payment options
* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost = Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.
* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and the buyer risks forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
