This is a substantial antique mirror featuring a decorative frame with a carved rope motif around the inner edge. The frame exhibits a distressed finish, contributing to its aged aesthetic. The mirror's generous size makes it suitable for various interior applications, from a focal point in a living area to a practical dressing mirror.

The mirror shows significant signs of age and wear consistent with its antique nature. The frame has numerous scratches, chips, and areas of finish loss, particularly along the edges and corners, revealing the material beneath. There are visible screw holes in the frame, indicating previous mounting. The mirror plate itself has extensive foxing, silvering loss, and numerous dark spots, creating a heavily distressed and aged appearance. The backing panel is visibly worn and appears to be constructed from multiple panels.
