This exquisite commode, crafted in the Louis XVI style, features rich marquetry and three drawers with intricate brass hardware. The top is adorned with a beautiful variegated marble slab, encircled by a delicate pierced brass gallery. Its elegant proportions and refined detailing make it a sophisticated addition to any interior.
Condition
The commode exhibits visible signs of age and use commensurate with its vintage. There are scratches and abrasions to the finish on the cabinet and legs. The brass hardware shows tarnish and some oxidation. The marble top has some minor surface wear and discoloration but no visible cracks or chips. A small piece of veneer is missing from the lower left side. An auction sticker is present on the marble top and can be removed.
Available payment options
* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost= Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive postage rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.
* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
