This original Conte' drawing by Maria Sigmon depicts a tender portrait of a mother and child. Sigmon, an artist born in Florence, Italy, is known for her work with earth tones and Conte' sticks, a medium composed of graphite and clay. Her art is featured in collections across Greece, Spain, Italy, and various locations in the United States.
Condition
The drawing itself appears to be in excellent condition, with no visible damage or discoloration to the artwork. The matting shows minor signs of age-related toning. The frame exhibits some superficial scratches and minor wear consistent with its age and handling, but remains structurally sound. The informational label on the reverse is adhered securely and is fully legible.
Available payment options
* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost = Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.
* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and the buyer risks forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
