This is a pair of Chinese porcelain fishbowl planters, each adorned with intricate hand-painted designs and extensive gilding. The larger planter features detailed figural scenes and floral motifs against a dark and gold background, with painted fish visible inside. The smaller planter displays vibrant birds and floral patterns in a polychrome palette, marked "MADE IN CHINA" on the base.

The larger planter exhibits significant craquelure to the interior glaze, consistent with age, and has some residue and minor surface wear. The smaller planter also shows some surface wear and minor discoloration on the interior and base. Both pieces have visible signs of age and use, but no major chips or cracks are apparent. There are remnants of adhesive and a sticker on the base of the larger planter.

* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost= Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder first, then email info@fairauctionco.com to have it resent.

 

* For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.

 

* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
