A pair of very early examples of the Hans J. Wegner Y chair, commonly called the "Wishbone chair" with branded Carl Hansen stamp. Early 1950's examples. Original finish with stunning patina, which cannot be replicated- only earned with decades of loving care. Each measures 28.5" tall, 19.5" wide at legs, 21.75" wide at arms, 16.75" seat height. 

Condition

Considering their age, these chairs are in great condition. Original paper cord caning, one chair missing two or three strands but still usable. The other chair is in tact. Once chair with an early example of damage then a repair- left untouched and remaining sound for at least 12 years.

* After the auction, Please arrive within the two day pickup time by appointment, or request shipping in that time. Shipping cost= Handling + Postage (usually UPS or USPS). Handling fees for in-house shipping is (per lot): $15 for small lots, $40 for art and furniture. We use Shippo.com to get you the most competitive rate possible. Shipments are processed the week after the auction sells. For local pick up, Follow the signup link we will email you after the auction to let us know when you'll be arriving. * For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.

 

* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
