This is a distinguished vintage Royal Stetson fedora hat, crafted for J. Mayhew, a division of the John S. Gibson Company. The hat features a classic gray felt construction with a black grosgrain ribbon band. The interior is lined with a satin material and includes a leather sweatband, bearing the 'Norman Sims Hatters, Salt Lake City, Utah' inscription.
The hat is in good vintage condition with visible signs of age and wear. The exterior felt shows some minor surface wear and light discoloration. The interior satin lining exhibits staining and discoloration, particularly around the crown. The leather sweatband shows some darkening and wear consistent with use. * For items which remain un-claimed beyond the pickup window: Standard storage fees are $5 per lot, per day, beginning the next Tuesday following the pickup window.
* We will not assume a buyer requires shipping for any reason. The buyer agrees to request shipping in writing to info@fairauctionco.com, and they risk forfeiting their items if this request is not made within 7 days of the auction close. No refund will be extended as a result of buyer forfeiture.
