This antique side table features a distinctive design with bobbin-turned legs, a common decorative element in furniture from the late 17th to early 19th centuries. The table is constructed from wood with a rich, dark finish, suggesting age and character. It includes a single drawer beneath the main tabletop, offering convenient storage. A lower shelf provides additional display or storage space. The stretcher bar connecting the lower portions of the legs adds structural integrity and a traditional aesthetic. The tabletop has a subtly curved, scalloped edge, enhancing its classic appeal. This piece would serve as an excellent accent table in a living room, hallway, or bedroom, contributing a touch of historical elegance to any interior.
The table exhibits significant signs of age and wear consistent with its antique nature. The wooden surfaces show numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss, particularly on the tabletop and lower shelf. There are visible chips and indentations on the edges and surfaces. The wood has developed a deep patina over time. The bobbin legs show some wear to the turning details. The drawer appears to be missing its original pull, indicated by a small red dot marking the intended location. Additional red dot stickers are present on the tabletop corners, likely inventory or lot markers. The overall structure remains stable, but the piece would benefit from a gentle restoration to enhance its appearance while preserving its antique character.
