An elegant Georgian style tea table, crafted from mahogany. This piece features a distinctive pie crust edge on its circular top, indicating fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. The central pedestal is ornately turned with a spiral carved section, resting on a tripod base with cabriole legs. Each leg terminates in a carved pad foot, further enhancing its decorative appeal. This table exemplifies classic Georgian design with its rich wood tone and intricate carving, making it a sophisticated addition to any traditional interior.
The table is in good antique condition, commensurate with age and use. There are minor surface scratches and indentations visible on the tabletop and pedestal, consistent with regular handling over time. The finish exhibits some areas of light wear and subtle discoloration, particularly along the edges and on the feet. All three legs appear stable, and the tilt mechanism functions smoothly. No significant structural damage, repairs, or restorations are immediately apparent.
